Remove affected household/office contents from the wet floor.
Turn off or unplug electrical items. If water is dripping on electrical components, cover them with plastic or large trash bags. Capture water with trash cans, buckets, or pails. Tab, or raise off the floor, any furniture or contents that are wet.
